Retainers 

We will fabricate a retainer for you once your braces are removed. Once braces are removed,  teeth have a tendency to shift naturally over time. It is crucial that you wear your retainer to prevent your teeth from moving.  We will advise wear instructions once treatment is completed.

A fixed retainer is a small wire that is cemented to the back of the teeth. There are dietary and oral hygiene considerations that go along with this type of retention appliance.

What Should I Do if I Lose or Break My Retainer?

If any retainer is lost, or broken please call our office as soon as possible to prevent relapse from occurring. A new retainer should be fabricated in order to maintain alignment of your teeth.

What if My Fixed Retainer Breaks?

​

If your fixed retainer breaks or becomes loose please call our office as soon as possible to prevent relapse from occurring. Your fixed retainer may need to be re-cemented to restore full retentive properties.
