ORTHODONTIC CARE

INTERCEPTIVE OR PHASE 1 TREATMENT

Children should see an orthodontist starting around 7 years old. Some things that Dr. Nicole will check are:

-proclined incisors

-oral habits

-tongue thrust

-anterior and posterior crossbites

-need for palatal expansion

-severe crowding

-underbites

Comprehensive or phase 2 treatment

Comprehensive treatment usually starts when there are few to no baby teeth left. Phase 2 treatment modalities include:

​

-full set of braces

-overbite/underbite/deep bite correction

-invisalign treatment

-space preparation for crowns, veneers, and implants

​

Retainers

After comprehensive treatment a retainer is needed to maintain alignment of your new smile

​

-removable retainers

-permanent or fixed retainers
